Vision Statement:
The Music Department at Community is dedicated to uplifting the name of our Lord Jesus Christ through music and singing. The vision of the Music Department is to seek excellence in all music and music-related areas of the church. CFC offers many opportunities for you to use your musical abilities for the Kingdom of God.

Sanctuary Mass Choir (ages 14 +) – The Sanctuary Mass Choir is a 60+ voice, power-packed, gospel choir typically singing three or four-part harmony in SAT or SATB arrangements. The choir is made up of dedicated volunteers from the congregation who love to sing the praises of God and have devoted their lives to worship unto Him.

The Sanctuary Choir rehearses each Sunday evening at 5:15 in the Tara Center reception room, and ministers during the 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. Sunday services, as well as other special events.

Frontline Singers – The Front Line is a six-voice ensemble that, along with the choir, helps lead the congregation in to worship each service. This group is chosen from members of the Sanctuary Choir by an audition, and then each is placed on a rotation schedule each month. The Front Line Singers rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Tara Center reception hall and also every Sunday with the Sanctuary Choir at 5:15 p.m..

Project 228 (Youth Choir-ages 14-27) – Project 228 is a 50+ voice, powerfully anointed youth choir that ministers in song and testimony. Their style crosses many genres of Christian music, including urban gospel, contemporary acoustic, and traditional hymns. Project 228 rehearses each Tuesday evening at 7:00 (at appointed times of the year) in the main sanctuary preparing for recording projects, monthly performances at Community, and for the tour.

Project 228 hosts an annual summer tour, traveling across the Southeastern region of the United States, ministering with our pastor and youth pastor. The tour members show great leadership and Christ-like character, but must be approved by the tour director for admission to go on tour.

Sanctuary Band– The CFC Sanctuary Band is a six-piece band with an additional horn section. The band accompanies the Sanctuary Choir each service at CFC, along with accompanying special soloists and performing instrumentals during the worship services. The band rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 in the main sanctuary, and each Sunday evening at 6:00. Band members are chosen by an interview and audition.

Special Singers – Special singers minister to the congregation of CFC as soloists or groups. Each singer is put on a rotation schedule and will sing (on average) one time every three months. Those who are interested in this ministry must see the music minister for specific details.

Multi-Media – This ministry is designed to enhance each worship service at Community by projecting song lyrics, scriptures, pictures, and video. This ministry consists of dedicated volunteers from the congregation. Each volunteer is trained over a two-month period and is then placed on a rotation schedule. The Multi-Media ministry participates in all worship services, in addition to any other event that requires their services.

Special Events – Events to be announced. CFC has exciting musicals (Christmas or Easter) that take place every year. Over 100 people involved in various areas (costume design, actors, special singing parts, lighting, sound, directors, etc.) are required.
